Background

I am a registered patent attorney with a technical background in the electrical and mechanical arts. I am admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, in the states of Maryland and Washington, and before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (Reg. No. 48,191). I currently practice in Montgomery County, Maryland, a short distance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

I am trained and experienced in patent law, technical writing, and electrical engineering, allowing me to combine technical knowledge and legal expertise with writing skill to produce carefully crafted and thorough patent applications. Although I cannot guarantee that a patent will issue from any given patent application, I have been consistently successful in obtaining U.S. patents for clients.  I am also trained and experienced in trademark law and have assisted many clients in obtaining federal trademark registrations.

I opened my own law practice after working for a District of Columbia intellectual property law firm for five years. Because I answer only to my clients, I work with you directly, giving you my immediate and complete attention, providing you with comprehensive intellectual property protection, and charging moderate fees for my services.
